Messy Points
Step 1
Choose music to listen to while you paint. It can be anything: orchestra-filled classical music, brilliant brass jazz or a bright pop music. It’s as simple as putting on the radio or picking a playlist of favourite songs and painting to the music.
Step 2
Put on your Waterproof Art Smock. Place a large sheet of your Easy Peel Stickable Colouring Roll onto a big vertical surface.
Step 3
While the music is playing, place your Jumbo Washable Paint Brush on the page and paint the sound that you hear. Make lines, squiggles or dots.
Step 4
Try it again, this time experiment with different music to explore different emotions.
Tip 1
After the music stops, look at the painting. Ask your children, “How does your painting make you feel? Are you excited or calm?”.
Tip 2
Creating on a vertical surface like this is very beneficial for core strength, crossing the midline, bilateral coordination and spatial awareness. These skills are all beneficial when it comes time to learn how to write.
