Count Andreas W. von Faber-Castell
Managing Director, Asia Pacific
Count Andreas Wilhelm Eberhard von Faber-Castell, brother of Count Anton, was born near Nuremberg, Germany. He settled in Australia in 1971 and has been based here ever since. After a successful sales career at Rank Xerox, the Count, who prefers to be called Andy, built up a now prominent printing business in Sydney with several partners.
In 1992 he took over management of Faber-Castell’s Australian operation. Andy is the driving force behind Faber-Castell Australia’s best seller, the Connector Pen, which he introduced to the local market soon after becoming involved in the business.
In recent years he has become responsible for the development of the Faber-Castell Group within the Asia Pacific Region and oversees the company’s production units in Indonesia, Malaysia, India and China together with sales subsidiaries and agents throughout the region.
