"Kosmo" eraser is 2008 Product of the Year

PBS INDUSTRIE awards prize in category of "School and personal items"

 

The elliptical high-quality eraser models "Kosmo" and "Kosmo Mini" from Faber-Castell won the PBS Industrie prize in the category of "School and personal items", awarded each year during the Paperworld trade fair in Frankfurt, Germany. The jury praised the novel ergonomic form of the PVC-free eraser, saying "pity to hide it away in the desk drawer" and even calling it "sexy". Also mentioned was the user-friendliness of the Kosmo: "...it sits like a feather in the hand." The newly chosen "2008 Product of the year" with a balanced mix of plastic guaranteeing soft and non-smear erasing comes in two sizes and is available in white,red and blue.

 

A close relation to the Kosmo, the "Sleeve" high-quality eraser with the practical protective cover also sports a winning design: in 2007 it won the ISPA award in the category "Back to school". In 2008 it collected two awards: the 2008 iF product design award in the "Office/Business" category and the 2008 Promotional Gift Award as an outstanding product fulfilling all the requirements of a modern and highly communicative promotional item.
